From the Forest: A New Workshop Series
This spring, MARS received a Thriving Communities Grant from Philanthropy Northwest to support forest health and wildfire resilience education in our community. Over the next year, this funding will support new interpretive signs at three Mt. Adams Community Forest sites and a series of hands-on workshops using the forest as a living classroom.
From the Forest will bring community members together with MARS staff and local experts to explore the work happening in our forests and the skills that can help us care for them. Workshops will cover topics ranging from forest health and management to wildfire resilience, chainsaw skills, wildlife, and more.
Whether you're a landowner looking for practical tools, curious about how and why forests are managed, or simply interested in learning more about the forests around you, we hope you'll join us.
